- Mexico is number 1 in the of production of organic coffee in the world, and it’s clearly the leader in this branch.
- Around the 85% of the organic production in Mexico is oriented to the exportation.
- The states with mayor organic production are: Chiapas, Oaxaca, Chihuahua, Sinaloa, Colima, Baja California Sur,
Michoacan, Guerrero, Jalisco, Veracruz y Sonora. - The main destinations are the European Union countries, United States, and Canada; the products reach also the Asian
market, but in a lower volume. - The organic agriculture is a big currencies generator; Mexico makes around 300 millions dlls every year for the exportation of
organic products.
